Airsis, Inc. took home the gold this afternoon when it won 2007's Most Innovative New Product award in the Software and IT category at CONNECT’s 20th annual awards luncheon in San Diego, CA.

In what has long been known as a benchmark for predicting San Diego’s most successful emerging technologies, CONNECT’s Most Innovative Product award was given to Airsis for its newest product, PortVision. The award recognized the innovation, vision, hard work, and cutting-edge technology the Airsis team used to make PortVision the most powerful web-based tracking tool in the maritime industry today.

Airsis beat out approximately 100 entries to win the Most Innovative Product award. Airsis chief executive officer Dean Rosenberg was on hand to accept the award in front of over 800 attendees, including San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and CONNECT CEO Duane Roth.

“The year’s products showcase the entrepreneurial spirit that established the San Diego region as a leader in innovation,” Roth said. “The (winners) represent the pinnacle of our innovative success.”

PortVision provides new levels of knowledge and transparency to maritime activities within ports and inland waterways. The service provides real-time visualization and historical information, allowing users to get up-to-date visibility of vessel activities and take immediate action based on instant alerting when events of interest occur. Historical playback and reporting features offer expanded opportunities to identify best practices, to enhance MDA, and to better communicate with customers, partners and service providers.
